9/11: A Tragedy In Real Life

9/11 was a planned terrorist attack which occurred in the United States of America on September 11, 2001. An airplane that was hijacked by a terrorist was flown straight into the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York, minutes later another plane hijacked by a terrorist was flown into the south tower of World Trade Center. At first the north tower had a huge fire and soon a large part of the building collapsed. The south tower also collapsed later. The south tower collapsed within an hour while the north tower collapsed within two hours. Thousands of people were working at those towers that day, out of those thousands, only twenty-three people managed to escape these attacks.

Although, there were not two attacks on 9/11, but four attacks were planned. The third attack was an airplane hijacked by a terrorist and the plane was slammed into the pentagon, which is the headquarters for the United States Department of Defence. Almost two hundred people died in the pentagon.

The fourth attack did not go to plan for the terrorists. The terrorist hijacked the plane and their target was unknown but could have been either The White House or The Capitol. The passengers became aware of these attacks and began a revolt. They forced out the terrorists from the cockpit of the plane and took control and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. What could have been way worse, was prevented by these brave passengers.

More than two thousand six hundred people died at the World Trade Center, more than a hundred people died at the pentagon and around two hundred and fifty died on the four planes. The amount of deaths in 9/11 was more than the pearl harbor in 1941.

The Nation of United States Of America was largely transformed after 9/11, more protocols were produced, every workplace performed annual drills in case of fire or other situations, schools started doing annual lockdown drills in case an armed unknown person was on campus. The world changed after 9/11.
