A Night on the Moonlit Beach

One winter night I sat crouched at my study table doing my Math homework .I was swamped with so many assignments and had random thoughts tossing over my head.I was solving a problem but a lot of thoughts clogged and cluttered my mind . Alas! I had lost my mind. I could not think any further. I felt like wrapping myself in a warm blanket and dozing off for some time, when my eyes fell upon the charming full moon in the sky.The trees were swaying in the deep blue sky .The stars high up there were dazzling too. The moon’s beautiful beaming white light fell on the sea and was seen in a silver hue .I was swamped with so much homework but I definitely thought that I needed a break from the continuous studying I had accomplished. I thought, "How can I stay indoors on such a beautiful moonlit night?". I called two of my cousins staying four buildings away and together we went out for a walk in the night. We decided to go to the beach since the allurement of the sea had caught my eyes. A walk in the moonlight was a refreshing break for everyone including me .When I arrived there I was in seventh heaven.

The moon seemed to make the sea joyous as well .The waves danced in mirth and dashed against the margin of the bay, making a crackling sound. The moonlight also filled our hearts with joy and we felt extremely thrilled by it. The vast sands stretched before us as far as we could see. There were few people on the beach but we felt as if we were the only ones there with only the sea and the sand for company. The moonlight lent a silvery touch to everything. The sand, the water, the houses and the treetops. The cool sand wiggled out between our feet like a refreshing foot massage.

The shining moonlight, the cool, pleasant atmosphere, the foaming sea, and the white sand was like the cherry on the top. We had never seen the beach so lively before. Nature was at its best at this time. Never had it been so blissful before. We sat on the sand and looked around us, we chatted a lot and had endless talks as all cousins do when they meet . The free breeze enveloped our faces. It was an ideal break from the monotonous lifestyle being at home.

After some time, we decided to step into the water. The water felt lovely. We splashed water on each other, laughed and joked in hushed voices. We continued to chat and dance with a breeze and that night, I felt elated. When we saw the time we found to our surprise that an hour had already passed, we ascended towards home quietly. It was indeed an amazing night.
