Electric Vehicles: The ‘GEN-Z’ of Automobiles

I'm sure that we can all collectively agree that electric vehicles are going to dominate the automobile industry. It will take a minimum of 10-15 years for them to completely revolutionize the world of driving and put all the ‘boomer’ generation cars out of business. An electric vehicle is basically one that operates on an electric motor, instead of an internal-combustion engine that generates power by burning a mix of fuel and gases. Using these vehicles there will be 0 pollution caused by them, I repeat 0 pollution.

No more black smoke invading our lungs, no more leaving carbon footprints behind. Electric cars function by plugging into a charge point and taking electricity from the grid. They store the electricity in rechargeable batteries that power an electric motor, which turns the wheels. Electric cars accelerate faster than vehicles with traditional fuel engines – so they feel lighter to drive.

Some of the various pros of electric vehicles are:-

1. We are all well aware that the price of petrol has spiked up to such an extent that they are causing physical(strokes, heart attacks) and mental distress to people. Having an electric vehicle will save a lot of money on gas and instead you can buy other things such as a private jet, yacht etc.

2. Lower maintenance due to an effective electric motor: Electric motors have less parts that lead to less damage than a traditional non electric vehicle which means you save on operating cost!

3. Electric cars are not only lighter but have faster acceleration

4. No noise pollution

5. Another really useful feature is regenerative braking. In normal cars, the braking process is a total wastage of kinetic energy that gets released as frictional heat. However, in an electric vehicle, the same energy is used to charge the batteries.

Although electric vehicles have a big price tag, they are a very valuable asset and will surely reap benefits further into the future. After buying an EV you can also receive government subsidies for being environmentally conscious. The governments have also begun funding electric vehicle companies and soon enough Tesla will not be the only known EV company.
