EQUALITY KNOWS NO GENDER

Gender equality requires equal opportunities, resources, and rewards enjoyed by women and men.

When we are born we are categorized as male or female, based on the different biological traits we possess including the ability to bear a child.

To date, in certain parts of the world, women's rights are majorly oppressed. Women are not even accepted as human beings and are eliminated before they can walk this earth due to the false belief that a female child will not earn when she grows up and would simply be a financial burden. If not put to an end, they are not treated with as much love as a male child.

An educated woman increases a country’s productivity growth. Not educating females, hurts even the ones who stop them from receiving education.

Humanity requires both men and women, both equally important and co-dependent.

As students, we must understand the importance of equality and respect immediately as tomorrow we will be a part of human society. We should normalize women being career-oriented, and make sure that we don’t discourage anyone with our opinions or watch anyone be judged silently.

Gender inequality is gradually decreasing; women are now educated and working, but they still face social judgment. These societal stereotypes are being challenged more than ever before. Due to social media, children of this generation are speaking up against gender inequality and other societal ills. Hopefully, I will live to witness a day when both genders are viewed equally in the distribution of power and influence, have equal financial opportunities, enjoy equal access to education and the opportunity to develop personal ambitions, talents, abilities, and skills, share responsibility for decisions regarding the management of a house, and children are completely free from pressure, intimidation, and gender-based violence.

Every individual deserves respect.
