The rapid change in communication and industries has directly or indirectly affected our mental and physical well-being.
Personally, my phone was my biggest obsession and I kept checking my phone for social media notifications and email alerts. Almost immediately after I started analyzing this behavior, I realized that these are the principal forms of instant gratification one can get along with junk food and television. Glancing through my phone gave my brain a burst of a neurotransmitter called dopamine which fuelled my scrolling on various applications. The modern world is habituated to comfort and in turn making people indolent. People nowadays including my relatives would rather sit in the comfort of their room binge-watching TV shows while binge consuming unhealthy food instead of going out into nature and seeing what it has to offer. This makes people and children lethargic and obese leading to various other lifestyle disorders. In summation, yes, I think the modern world is producing weaker individuals who are lazy and addicted to the internet. Our generation has been moving ahead at an extremely alarming rate without thinking of the consequences that would follow. We at some point need to draw a line between laziness and convenience
