The Ship....... Part 2

The pallid moon guarded the city at night casting its silvery light through the crestfallen clouds. The city was atramentous except for the cluster of glinting stars which were nestled among the ocean of blackness.

“Are you ready, Anna?” Anna’s mother yelled for her as they were getting late to go to Anna’s comrade, Davina’s Halloween party. Anna was clad in her new outfit of Mavis, from Hotel Transylvania. She was like a kid in a candy shop as she had always wanted to attend a Halloween party. They reached the party in no time and she felt like a little grain of sand in the astronomical ocean of a plethora of people. As time flew like a bird, after a few hours only Anna, Davina and a few of their close companions were remaining. “Let’s tell some horror stories, shall we?” Asked Davina. All the girls were zealous and started announcing some petrifying horror stories.

“I have one!” yelled Davina obstreperously. Everyone nodded, thrilled and started paying attention towards her. Eerily, Davina began, “Sarah was a young girl with chocolate brown eyes who lived with her parents. One day, she was returning from her class. It was late and the streets were desolate with no one in sight. As she was ambling down Carter Road, she kept looking behind her sensing someone was following. She was solicitous. Trepidation gnawed at her. She looked behind once again and heaved a sigh of relief when she discerned no one. When she turned around, she let out a blood-curdling scream. A man clad in a long black coat stood in front of her gaping at her. He had a black hood covering half of his face. As she was about to turn around and run away, he grasped her hand and stopped her. She tried to fight his grip but she was hapless. He pushed her down and her head hit a humongous rock. Blood oozed out of her wound and she felt someone lift her up before she lost consciousness. People never saw her again..” Everyone was intimidated by Davina’s story but they believed it was a myth. They decided to call it a day and all headed back home.

The next day when Anna was coming back home from her class it was late at night and it was atramentous. She was alone, making her trepidation proliferate. A nauseating feeling set in the pit of her stomach. Terrified, she started ambling hastily but, in her haste, she tripped over a rock and fell. As she was about to get up, she glanced upwards and let out an ear-piercing scream as the same man that Davina had described in her story, stood hovering over her. She saw something silver before she lost consciousness, never to be found again.
