The Coronavirus Pandemic has hit the world unexpectedly. It has struck the human race and has a very big impact. This had stopped the global economy and workforce. Sanitisers, masks, gloves, face shields have become the need of the hour.
Arvind, a middle class man, saw poor people on the street sleeping hungry every night. He could not imagine the pain of such a night. He realised that there had to be some way to help the people. He got together with his friends and they thought of a way to help them. Arvind made an online website and got donations from many people.
People were giving money to his charity. Every small donation of money helped them provide food to more and more people. However, this was not all. Arvind realised providing the food was not enough; he also provided sanitisers so that everyone could clean their hands before eating. He also provided masks and spread awareness among many people to maintain social distancing. Arvind attended his online meetings and immediately after that he helped needy people. It was his determination to help that motivated him not to rest immediately after his work but to help others.
This was how he and his friends contributed to helping out people in need. This incident gives a very big lesson of humanity to all of us that all people should help the ones in need. His empathy towards people is what makes him provide food and spread awareness of the Covid – 19 protocol to them. He showed us equality should be there among all people. His benevolence and social work won him the blessings and love of all people. His integrity and desire for selfless service will make him an idol of a social worker for many people around the globe. He did not receive any public recognition for all his work but his selfless nature of doing the work makes him an Unsung Hero.
On providing help to the needy the smile on their face made him happier than ever before, showing us that he gained in giving.
“Service of mankind is service to God” means that selfless service for the cause of humanity is as important as worshipping God.
