In light of how important technology is in today’s world, everybody wants to pursue a career in IT or Computer Science, Data Science, etc. In India, IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) are the best colleges to pursue these interests.
JEE, which stands for Joint Entrance Exam, is a competitive exam in India that lakhs of people give for admission into IITs. These are India’s most prestigious institutes with amazing campuses and brilliant placements into Multi-National Companies such as Google and Microsoft. It is the second hardest exam in the world, that is crazy! But why is it so difficult?
JEE has two sections, the Mains and the Advanced. The Mains are the qualification basis for Advanced. The curriculum is extensive and covers a wide range of topics. The JEE syllabus covers all of the major physics, chemistry, and mathematics topics and some advanced cases. This means that to be successful, students must have a solid foundation in all three subjects.
The questions are complex and necessitate a thorough understanding of the concepts. The JEE questions are about more than just memorizing facts. Students must be able to apply their knowledge to solve complex problems. This means that to perform well on the exam, students must be able to think critically and creatively. In addition to all of this, there is stress and pressure which the students have to bear, making it extremely difficult to crack JEE Mains and Advanced to ultimately secure admissions in IITs.
All of these things make it seem like giving JEE is a huge burden and should be avoided. It is a burden, that is for sure but it should not be blatantly rejected.
Cracking JEEs and entering IITs is a huge help in your career. It provides a rigorous academic foundation. It provides you with an edge in the competitive market. Being an IITian is a huge accomplishment on its own and adds to the value of your resume and career. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google is an IITian himself. IITs provide state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories for the best learning experience.
All of these factors make JEE worth it, if you are prepared to take on the challenge. An important thing to note is not cracking JEE is not the end of life and even if you do, life is not a straight and easy path. It can help if you are determined and passionate. It is not a cheat code to life but yes, being an IITian is a ‘flex’ and can go a long way in impacting your life, positively and negatively.
